Hanvit Lee is a high school sophomore at the Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, NJ. Passionate about computer science, she founded MightyAI Stems to harness artificial intelligence for meaningful environmental and social impact.

MightyAI Stems was inspired by the stark contrast in Hanvit’s own community: areas near her school have few trees, resulting in hotter temperatures and poorer air quality compared to more affluent, greener neighborhoods. Through AI analysis of soil conditions, climate data, and community needs, she aims to identify where trees will thrive and provide maximum environmental benefit.
